St Peter's Hospice

St Peter's Hospice is the official local charity for the Bristol Harbourside Triathlon 2012.

Who we are

St Peterís Hospice is Bristolís only adult Hospice caring, and supporting patients with terminal illnesses in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. We aim to improve the quality of life of patients while extending care and support to their families and loved ones. The Hospice provides care from our team of specialist community nurses who visit patients in their homes and from our 18 bed in-patient unit and Day hospice in Brentry.

Who we care for

Last year we cared for 2,200 patients and supported over 6,000 family members including children. 85% of the care was provided in patientís homes.

How we are funded

All of our care is provided free of charge. It costs over £6.5million to run the hospice and the NHS contributes just 25% of our annual running costs. For the rest we are totally reliant on the generosity of the community and local businesses that support us through number of different ways.

What we hope for

The money we raise as the official local charity for the Bristol Harbourside Triathlon will make such a difference to our patients and their families so please sign up for the triathlon and support your local hospice.

If you already have your own place in the triathlon and would like to raise funds for St Peterís Hospice contact Louisa James on 0117 915 9344 or e-mail louisa.james@stpetershospice.org.
